Hotel Cerro

San Luis Obispo, CA

Client:
Garden Street SLO Partners, LP

A 10-year+ process that included facilitation of the entitlement and environmental review process for this mixed-use public/private joint venture with the City of San Luis Obispo. The project covers an entire city block within the Downtown Core, including a hotel, residential and upgraded retail components, landscaped courtyards, and improvements to Garden Street. Project development plans were approved by the Cultural Heritage Committee, Architectural Review Commission, and City Council with considerations for existing historical resources.

Site features and amenities included concrete and wood bench seating, corten steel planters and aluminum pots, a vegetated Live Wall, a greenhouse and garden area (to grow vegetables and spices for the hotel restaurant), fireplaces, wall fountains, fire tables and water bowls, decorative cobble and colored concrete paving, porcelain pavers, decorative steel & wood (ipe) screens and gates, and bicycle racks and lockers.
