A $130 million expansion to the French Hospital campus will add a new 4-story patient care tower with single patient rooms, a neonatal ICU, a new interfaith chapel, a rooftop garden terrace, helistop, and parking structure. Other amenities include a pedestrian‐oriented entry court with decorative landscaping, ornamental shade trees, and colorful pavement patterns, and an exterior patio adorned with lush foliage draping from terraced planters to provide respite from the bustle of the hospital.

Additional features include concrete and porcelain pavers, flagstone paving, numerous site furnishings, custom benches, and potted planters, bicycle parking, water wall and basalt-column fountains, and a memorial wall with biographical etchings. Changes to the existing Healing Garden area include the new chapel, a new Live Wall, new artwork fountain, and St. Elizabeth sculpture.
