Highlights:
Prior to Oasis Associate, Inc.’s (OAI) involvement, a proposal had been submitted to demolish the existing residence and remove the property from the City’s Contributing Properties List of Historic Resources. That application was subsequently withdrawn, and in 2018, OAI was retained to facilitate permitting for a substantially revised project focused on preservation and adaptive reuse of the historic residence.
The revised development included a three-lot common-interest development, relocation and expansion of the existing cottage, and construction of two additional residences. The resulting project successfully integrates the revitalized historic residence with thoughtfully designed new development that respects the property’s historic character and applicable historic preservation standards and guidelines
