Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at HZI Facility

In recent news, Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI) has officially opened their San Luis Obispo facility! The Kompogas SLO facility will be the first of its kind for the company in the United States. Yard and food waste from residential and commercial areas will be collected and delivered to the facility, measuring up to 36,500 tons annually. The new Kompogas facility produces biogas from the greenwaste/foodwaste in order to power a generator that will produce renewable energy – enough to power 600-plus homes in the SLO area! Oasis is proud to be a partner of HZI as they reduce waste and greenhouse gas emissions while generating renewable energy for our community 24/7/365.
